Chesterland Farm is in the heart of the beautiful Unionville, Pennsylvania’s countryside, and Mr. Stewarts Cheshire Foxhounds hunting country. The farm has all the attributes that make it one of the world’s premier training facilities for both horse and rider. Because of all the land preservation efforts and extreme emphasis on equestrian sports in the Unionville area, there are thousands of open acres that offer great gallops and hours of hacking. If you can’t get a horse fit here, you can’t get it fit anywhere.
The farm was the host of the Chesterland International CCI*** 3-Day Event for 13 years from the mid 1970’s to the mid-to late 1980’s and has also been the site of the US equestrian Team training sessions. Much of the cross-country course has changed over the years as repairs and updates have been made, but the terrain will always remain. Today there are jumps for all levels from Novice to Advanced.
The facility has a 16-stall main barn, an 8-stall upper barn, as well as a 4-stall garage barn. There is a large indoor arena with mirrors on all sides. The farm also has two outdoor sand arenas with a very large outdoor show jump area. There are plenty of paddocks and large fields for long-term turnouts.

Over the past 25 years students have been coming to Chesterland with and without their own horse to learn about all aspects of horses and training. They see the daily routine of a World-class operation and learn what it takes to get to the top and stay there. Not only will students see all the behind the scenes, they will be expected to take an active role. As the relationship grows students will gain more and more responsibility and as their riding improves there are plenty of horses to ride and even compete. Students are encouraged to bring their own horse so the pair can share in this invaluable experience. Successful students of Chesterland have all made a mark on the international equestrian scene.
